As a nine-year old Tigers fan in 1968, Gates Brown seemed to me to have a magic touch, able to come through in the clutch again and again. As much as I loved Willie Horton and Al Kaline, Gates was (and remains) my favorite Tiger. He also has a reputation as a truly nice man, and I\'m thankful to you for telling his story.
